Its a new year and time to do something good for yourself and others! Come join us in raising money for a good cause!
Our focus this year is to raise money for a wonderful organization called "Beads for Education". The mission of Beads for Education, is to improve the status of women
in Kenya, Africa, through girl's education and women business development. In Kenya, if girls are not in school around the ages of 10-13, they are often married off as second or third wives. By keeping the girls in school it gives them a foot up to a future of there choice.
Our first gathering will be this Thursday January 5th at 6:30 in Lynnwood. Our meeting will go over our mission, training schedules, and getting to know the team. RSVP to beadsforeducationrace@gmail.com and we will send directions. Come prepared for our first short team training, bring your running shoes and warm clothes! If you can't make it let us know and we will get you up to speed!
